Welcome to the semi-official Island website! Island was formed in the late 70's by guitarists Carl Morgan and Eddie Polanco with the intent of causing Rock N Roll havoc amongst the unsuspecting masses in Texas. There were two incarnations of Island over the years and the band left a trail of reverb fluid everywhere they went. Sadly, the band disolved in the early 80's and the San Antonio music scene was left with a hole.

Great news, kids! Island reunited for one night (8/23/09) in Helotes, Texas for the Teen Canteen Band Reunion Bash! There was a pile of bands you haven't seen in many moons!

Island's release of their 45 rpm record Simple Song / Watch Your Step was well received in Texas and even Chicago. We're looking into possibly releasing the single on disc. Stay tuned....
